The goal of this program is to give scholars in the social sciences access to high-quality, advanced training in qualitative and quantitative social science methods. The program is intended for promising upper-level scholars in political science, international relations, and related disciplines. Preference will be given to current faculty members, post-doctoral and doctoral students. Exceptional masters-level students in political science, international relations, and closely related fields will also be considered.

European Science Foundation (ESF) in partnership with Linköping University invites for conference Eco-Chic: Connecting Ethical, Sustainable and Elite Consumption, which will take place in Scandic Linköping Vast. Grants are available for researchers to cover the conference fee and possibly part of the travel costs. Priority will be given to students and early stage researchers.

Genetická společnost Gregora Mendela uspořádá ve dnech 14.–16. září tohoto roku v krásném prostředí lednického areálu genetickou konferenci, na jejímž programu budou přednášky významných českých a slovenských odborníků tématicky zaměřené na aktuální problematiku v rychle se rozvíjejících oblastech genetiky a molekulární biologie. Snahou organizačního výboru je zpřístupnit konferenci zejména mladším a začínajícím vědeckým pracovníkům, pro něž především je určena sekce plakátových sdělení.

The conference is organised by the Science and Research Centre, University of Primorska, with the support of the Commission of Political Geography of the International Geographical Union. The aim of the Conference is to give an assessment of past developments and conflict resolutions, an analysis of current situations and problems concerning spatial and social cross-border and inter-cultural integration/disintegration, and an evaluation of the future trends and opportunities for co-operation and development within a broader European and global context.
