Created by Euroscience, ESOF -- Euroscience Open Forum -- is the
biennial pan-European meeting dedicated to scientific research and
innovation. The ESOF2012 will bring together over 5,000 scientists to address all of the current major global scientific challenges, including Energy, Climate Change, Food and Health.

Various organisations offer travel grants to help young researchers who wish to attend ESOF2012.

The EUI is offering 160 doctoral grants available from various EU Member States in the fields of: Economics, History & Civilization, Law, Political & Social Sciences.

The Andre Michaux Travel and Research Grant Foundation announces a grant program to be awarded biennially for research related to horticultural and botanical exchanges within the greater Atlantic World. A grant for travel and research ($500.00) will be awarded twice a year for Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter. M.A., Pre-Doctoral and Independent Scholars whose research is centered on horticultural and botanical exchanges within the greater Atlantic World are encouraged to apply. A tax offset will be provided to independent scholars, who are awarded the grant. Please note: The foundation is interested and wishes to support junior scholars just starting their academic careers.

In order to increase and reinforce its capacity, and in order to encourage researcher to enhance their experience in an international, multicultural and multidisciplinary environment, the Institute for Environment and Sustainability is launching a call for interest for Grantholders for Doctoral, Post-doctoral and Senior Research Positions. The grants are aimed at developing training and mobility opportunities for researchers throughout their careers.

CERGE-EI, with financial support provided by the Global Development Network (GDN) announces a research competition in all fields of the social sciences. Proposals are invited from economists, demographers, political scientists, sociologists, and other social scientists.

The European Cultural Foundation, the Riksbankens Jubileumsfond and the European Network of Cultural Administration Training Centres have officially launched the call for applications for the 2010 Cultural Policy Research Award (CPR) which aims to contribute to new competence building among young scholars in comparative cultural policy research.
The Award should stimulate research on issues that challenge Europe today and stimulate applied and comparative research aspects of European cultural policies.
The ompetition is open to candidates from all European countries; candidates must be able to speak and write in English; be educated to M.A. level in social sciences, art & humanities, or public policy research, and must be no older than 35 at the time of applying.

Česká mikroskopická společnost a společnost FEI vyhlašují druhý ročník grantu pro studenty posgraduálního studia. Výše grantu je 200 000,- a soutěže se mohou zúčastnit všichni, kdo ke svému výzkumu používají elektronový mikroskop.

Doktorské grantové projekty jsou zaměřeny na podporu a koordinaci vědecké činnosti v rámci doktorských studijních programů (DSP). Mají stimulovat spolupráci mezi obory a institucemi, podpořit vědeckou komunikaci mezi studenty DSP různých oborů a učinit tak vědeckou dráhu pro absolventy magisterského studia atraktivnější.

Technologické centrum AV ČR si Vás dovoluje pozvat na informační den zaměřený na GRANTY EVROPSKÉ VÝZKUMNÉ RADY (ERC), který se uskuteční 30. 6. 2011 v prostorách Technologického centra AV ČR, tj. Ve Struhách 27, Praha 6 - Bubeneč.
Informační den se zaměřuje na ERC granty pro "začínající" výzkumné pracovníky/ice ("ERC Starting Grants"), na jejichž předkládání bude v červenci 2011 vyhlášena výzva.
