The Government of the Republic of Slovenia again announces a limited number of scholarships for the academic year 2011/12. The majority of scholarships are reserved for the citizens of the countries with which a bilateral agreement/programme on scholarship exchanges (quotas) has been signed with: Belgium – Flanders, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Israel, Japan, Mexico, Montenegro, Poland, PR of China, Russian Federation, Slovakia, Switzerland and Turkey. The duration of an individual scholarship can be up to 10 months. Minimum duration is 3 months. The scholarship can be awarded for any field of study offered by the Slovene higher education institutions. 

The Political Science Department of the Central European University offers a PhD program in Political Science. The PhD program ïs accredited in the US. CEU offers scholarships that cover all tuition fees and a generous living allowance. The Department of Political Science at Central European University focuses on several areas of political science, with a special emphasis on comparative politics. The curriculum examines questions of political theory, democratization, constitutional politics, political economy, mass media, electoral behavior, party politics, research methodology and European politics. Next to the international core faculty, courses at the department are offered by distinguished visiting professors.

Institut umění ve spolupráci s Ministerstvem kultury ČR a Centrum pro současné umění FUTURA vypisují výběrové řízení na 2-měsíční tvůrčí pobyt v oblasti visuálního umění v ISCP (New York). Pobyt je určen mladým umělcům/kyním do 35 let včetně. Není určen pro studující středních a vysokých škol vyjma studujících doktorandského studia. O pobyt mohou zažádat umělci/kyně s praxí z oblasti vizuální tvorby, kteří mají české státní občanství nebo trvalý pobyt na území České republiky. Účastníkovi/ici bude hrazeno studio v ISCP, cestovní náklady a náklady spojené s pobytem ve výši 1 500 USD. Ubytování je poskytováno za očekávaný příspěvek od stipendisty uměleckým dílem v hodnotě do výše nájmů běžné v dané lokalitě (Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn).

The Graduate School of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASoS) of Maastricht University offers PhD Programme on Arts and Social Sciences. The Programme can be characterised by its basic choice for interdisciplinarity, the striving for internationalisation and the emphasis on contemporary issues in science and society. Applicants should have the relevant educational background and skills required by a researcher in the specific field you have chosen. You have completed a research master (MPhil) or an equivalent degree.

The aim of this project is to model the interactions of lipid membranes with nano-objects including functional biomimetic polymers, peptides, polymeric micelles and polymer therapeutic complexes/conjugates in order to enable the intelligent design of new materials with improved bilayer modifying properties.
Ideal candidate will have MSc in theoretical physics with strong background in computer simulations, computational soft matter physics and numerical methods.
The work will be done partially in Universitat Rovira I Virgili, Tarragona, Spain and Chemical Engineering Department, Cambridge University, Cambridge, UK.

The UIC Institute for the Humanities will offer two Dissertation Fellowships for advanced graduate students who have completed their dissertation research and are entering the writing stage of the process. Departments will be asked to nominate and rank students for these awards.  Departments may nominate up to three candidates.
Dissertation Fellows will be expected to be in residence at the Institute, to present a public lecture on their work, and to participate fully with the Faculty Fellows in seminars and workshops.

Stipendium se poskytuje kaľdoročně mladým badatelům/kám v oboru barokního malířství mladším 35 let z ČR. Jeho cílem je umožnit mladým historikům umění studijní pobyt v zahraničí. Od roku 2008 je vypisováno střídavě jedno stipendium (16,000 USD) pro postgraduální studující a tři stipendia (po 6,000 USD) pro studující v bakalářském nebo magisterském stupni nebo po jeho ukončení.

The Vienna PhD School of Informatics is an international PhD School, funded by the Vienna University of Technology (TU Vienna), the City of Vienna and private sponsors. PhD students for this full-time programme are recruited world-wide, all courses are held in English.
The PhD School is located at TU Vienna and admits Austrian as well as international students annually. TU Vienna invites applications for a maximum of 15 PhD scholarships per year. The first study year of the PhD School started in October 2009. No tuition fees have to be paid by these holders of scholarships.

The Council of Sidney Sussex College offers the Evan Lewis-Thomas Law Studentships which are tenable for one year in the first instance but may be renewed annually, up to a maximum of three years. Their value depends on the candidate’s needs in the light of support from other sources and on the availability of income from the Evan Lewis Thomas Fund.
Candidates must have shown proficiency in Law and Jurisprudence, normally by obtaining a university degree in Law by August 2010, and they must be or become candidates for the Ph.D. Degree, the Diploma in Legal Studies, the Diploma in International Law, the M.Phil.
