Mundos de Mujeres / Women´s Worlds 2008 is open to proposals in ALL fields and themes related to women, gender and sexuality in contemporary societies, as well as historically.

Aspasia is an international and peer-reviewed yearbook that seeks to bring out the best scholarship in the field of interdisciplinary women’s and gender history focusing on, and especially produced in Central, Eastern, and South Eastern Europe.

Each issue of Gender & Development focuses on a topic of key interest to all involved in promoting gender equality through development. An up-to-the minute overview of the topic is followed by a range of articles from researchers, academics, policy makers, and practitioners. Each issue includes an up-to-date resources section, listing publications, electronic resources, and organisations.

An exciting look into a past article to reflect on viewpoints and current practices. The first article which is under discussion is: Hilda Kean & Alison Oram (1990) "Men must be educated and Women must do it": the National Federation (later Union) of Women Teachers and contemporary feminism 1910-30, Gender and Education 2(2).
We would like to invite readers to comment on the article, discussing both its historical place within feminist education and its impact and relevance today. We are especially interested to hear from people working in this field today.

The Nordic Baltic Network for Gender Responsive Budgeting will arrange an international conference on this theme on the 10 and 11 January 2008 at the Mykolas Romeris University, Vilnius, Lithuania.

This issue of Outskirts looks to address feminist engagement in “Other Places” and to engage with ideas of feminism that cross national or other borders. Our aim is to explore the implications of feminist analyses for both the societies and the women who feature in the studies, and for the researchers and feminist theories that drive analyses. We seek to examine some of the particular methodologies employed by feminists doing social and cultural research. A self-reflexive examination of feminist methodologies produces questions of representation, inclusiveness and agency, and it is these themes we look to advance in this edition.

We have the great pleasure to invite everyone to participate in continuing this initiative to focus on labour and gender from a historical perspective in Stockholm in August 2008.

The aim of the conference is to bring together a wide variety of feminist scholars working on various aspects of labour history, broadly defined, to share their research, to carry on a dialogue across generational, theoretical, national and disciplinary boundaries and to continue the debate on how to re-conceptualize working-class history in more inclusive ways.

The Journal of Interdisciplinary Feminist Thought (JIFT) invites contributions for its next issue, which will be devoted to the theme Women and Social Justice.
