The Institute of Contemporary History (USD) of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic is seeking for participants, if possible primarily from the Visegrad countries, interested in topics raised within the scientific agenda of the project Environmental histories of the Visegrad countries: Cold War and the environmental sciences funded by the Visegrad Fund. As a follow-up of the Prague workshop held on 23-25 March 2012, a workshop and a meeting of working group will be organised in Brno (or in Prague – to be confirmed later) on 15 June 2012.

The UACES Student Forum is organising its Thirteenth Annual Conference, on 18-19 June 2012 at the Kent Brussels School of International Studies (BSIS) and The Institute for European Studies (IES-VUB) at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Journal of Political Analysis and Theory welcomes contributions from both young and experienced scholars active in the fields of Political Science, International Relations, European studies and Europeanization, Nationalism and Ethnic relations, as well as from adjacent fields such as Sociology or History with a focus on contemporary politically and socially relevant phenomena. The editors encourage contributions in the form of comparative studies or single-case studies that catch and analyze specific political phenomena, contexts, and developments.
