    University of Konstanz in cooperation with the University of Tilburg and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) announce the 10th POLNET International Summer School on the Analysis of Political and Managerial Networks. It will take place at the New Castle of Meersburg at the Lake Constance, Germany.This seminar is a basic introduction to social network analysis. It is intended for MA/PhD students, as well as researchers and practitioners, interested in theoretically driven empirical research on networks in the social sciences. The aim is to introduce to the analysis of networks who are conducting or planning to conduct quantitative studies of networks in the fields of public policy, management and organisational science.

    The Aleksanteri Institute in cooperation with the Södertörn University/BEEGS, and the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI)/ Department of Russian and Eurasian Studies announces the summer school aimed at doctoral students researching topics related to civil society, with a focus on post-socialist states and/or the Baltic Sea area. Twenty-five students will be selected to participate. The course focuses on the civil societies around the Baltic Sea, paying particular attention to the post-socialist states, especially Russia. The constitution of the course is multidisciplinary, incorporating political science, sociology, history and gender studies to illuminate the complexities of the subject.

    The SoDoc meeting at the Jacobs University of Bremen is an annual consultation possibility for PhD students in Social Psychology.
