ECMI, EURAC, SDU and University of Flensburg invite for summer school National Minorities and Border Regions which will be held in Flensburg. The programme will explore national minorities in border regions from different disciplines including law, linguistics, sociology and politics. The aim of this interdisciplinary summer school is to integrate subjects that are treated separately in order to offer a comprehensive picture of national minorities in border regions. The summer school is aimed at Master and PhD students as well as practitioners in related areas.

Two positions are available from October 2011 in a research project concerning the sociology of illegal markets in the area of the Sociology of Markets led by Jens Beckert (Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies). One project will focus on illegality in art markets. The other project’s focus remains open. Sociologists, criminologists, economists or graduates from the art sector are invited to apply.
