The Haniel Foundation (Germany), the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland) and the Leuphana University Lueneburg (Germany) invite applications to a 12 months Postdoctoral Scholarship dedicated to "Recreating Entrepreneurship". The scholarship is scheduled for the academic year of 2009/10, to start in autumn/winter of 2009.

The Department of Mathematics at Kyungpook National University is excited to announce its new Post-Doc program for WCU(World Class University) Project in Applied Fluid Dynamics. WCU is higher education subsidy program of Korean government to upgrade research level of Korean universities by generously supporting a group of eminent international research scientists. Professor Juan M. Lopez at Arizona State University who is prominent in Fluid Dynamics will join our WCU project. It will continue five years until 2013.

The Byron Hanke Fellowship is available to graduates who are enrolled in an accredited master's, doctoral or law program and are working on topics related to community associations. Projects may address management, institutions, organization and administration, public policy or architecture, as well as political, economic, social, and intellectual trends in community association housing. The Foundation is especially interested in substantive papers from the social sciences, which place community association housing within political or economic organizational models. Awards are based on merit without regard to race, gender or religion.

The summer school provides an advanced intensive training course for research students, scholars and professionals who are working in the area of the economics and policy of competition and market regulation. It combines training in: the institutional and legal features of competition policy in the EU compared to other regions; the economic and theoretical underpinnings of market regulations; the analysis of case studies. The lecturers are leading international academics and professionals with outstanding experience in the field.

Academics, scholars and intellectuals from any country and any discipline may apply for fellowships to support temporary visits to institutions in any safe country, in any part of the world. The SRF Selection Committee reviews applications and awards 20-40 fellowships annually to scholars whose lives or careers are threatened. Fellowships are awarded to host institutions for support of specific individuals to be matched by the host institution.

The transdisciplinary Summer School "Perception of (In-)Security and Fear of Crime" is organized by the European Union research consortium CPSI - Changing Perceptions of Security and Inter­ventions (EU 7th Framework Programme - FP7). The focus of the summer school will be on citizen/public security on a broad scale, from urban issues to terrorist threat, its determinants and measures designed to improve security.Target groups are: postgraduate/Ph.D students and graduate students with Ph.D interest/first plans, both from a variety of faculties such as political science, sociology, law, psychology, criminology, cultural studies and others; young professionals from the public sector and from security services; teachers and journalists with practical and academic interests; academics from various discipline wishing to specialize in the emerging European discipline of security research.
