    Hamburg, 7- 9 November 2007

    http://www.univie.ac.at/Geschichte/Neuverortung-Geschlechtergesc...

Sexual Exploitation and Abuse of Women in Violent Conflict

June 17-19, 2007, Amsterdam, the Netherla

    http://www.nlda.nl/content/php/index.php?id=474&lang=NL&cat_id=7...

    Event Programme

The Netherlands Defense Academy and the Feminism & Legal Theory Project have joined together in order to sponsor a symposium regarding the sexual exploitation and abuse of women in violent conflict. Since the 1995 UN World Conference on Women in Beijing, many conferences and political debates have been staged. Yet in the search for solutions, a systematic investigation of causes and consequences of violence has largely remained absent. This conference serves to address the problem of sexual exploitation and abuse of women in violent conflict in a systematic and comprehensive manner.

Two-Day Workshop on ”Gender in the Academic Profession”

    September 17-18, 2007, Aarhus, Denmark

    http://www.hha.dk/nat/cim/gender0907/call.pdf

Have we obtained gender equality within the academic profession? What affects career
paths and are there gender specific differences in the promotion patterns? Is there “a
leaking pipeline”? Does increasing female participation in higher education automatically
decrease gender inequalities? How can economics answer these questions?
