    Call for Participation: Women's Worlds 2011

    A 'Call for Participation' was launched for Women's Worlds 2011, a global feminist conference being held in Ottawa-Gatineau in July of 2011. The main congress theme is "Inclusions, exclusions, and seclusions: Living in a globalized world". Each of the four days of the congress will be guided by an overarching theme: Breaking Cycles, Breaking Ceilings, Breaking Barriers, and Breaking Ground. Proposals for presentations can come from individuals, groups, coalitions, networks, teams – everything will be considered.

    University of Sydney offers a full-time postgraduate scholarship (commencing in Semester 2, 2010) to undertake research leading to a PhD in international conflict. The project will investigate the roles of norms, political culture, values, and/or similar factors in patterns of interstate conflict across different regions of the world. The research will be complementary to, and in close interaction with, an ARC-funded project on the role of political institutions in regional conflict dynamics.
